MY NAME
The name of Francesca gives you a clever, quick, analytical mind, but you suffer with a great deal of self-consciousness, lack of confidence, and much aloneness because of misunderstandings. Your idealistic and sensitive nature gives you a deep appreciation for the finer things of life and a strong desire to be of service to humanity. There are times when you experience inner turbulence at your inability to say what you mean. It is far easier for you to express your deeper thoughts and feelings through writing than verbally. You find pleasure in literature, in poetry, and in your ideals and will turn to them when you feel you have been misunderstood. You are deeply moved by the beauties of life, especially nature.

Well, I've had a nice morning at the seaside with my friend Anna. We have to seize the day, as this sumer seems to be very unpredictable and rainy! I am on vacation and I want to go to the sea as much as I can, for I don't know if I will ever have other chances in the next years.
In the afternoon I went to the gym for the last time...I'll be back there in September, but I can't really go to the gym in summer (especially because there is no air-conditioning!!!). I'll miss my class-mates, but I think they will call me for the dinner at the end of the gym-courses (end of June). I never say no when I'm invited to a dinner out with friends :)
In the next days I have to go to the University (if it rains...*LOL*) to find out when I have to take the oral exam. I also want to watch some movies, I am too tired to read books.
Recently I've seen Minority Report with Tom Cruise. Though I am neither crazy for Tom Cruise nor for Science Fiction, I have to say that I kinda liked the movie.
Well, after the exam I will seriously get back to my job-hunting...For the moment, I am trying to enjoy these days even if it rains. It's easier than what I used to think :)
I have a discussion every day with my parents because I am unemployed...I try to tell them that I need a real holiday after 6 years of sacrifice, but they can't understand.
Well, anyway, I went to the sea yesterday afternoon with my sister. I'm going again this morning, with my friend Anna. I can't imagine my life in a city without the sea...I must have been a fish or a mermaid in my previous life :)
I haven't read books recently (this always happens when I have an exam...I need to be on vacation to enjoy reading)...but I can't miss my monthly manga dose: I've just read Ace o Nerae n.10. I like that manga so much! But, I don't like what's happening...Ok, I can't say too much, I don't want to spoil anything hehehe
Oh, I am thinking about a new layout for this blog. Time for version 2! I guess it will not be difficult to imagine who I will dedicate the new layout to...Just think about my recent obsession :p
Well, have to go now. I have to call my teacher and tell her I can't go to the University this morning hehehe

TROY is a only-for-women movie isn't it?
Well, first off, I hate the way they changed the original Greek story. But, my friends already told me that. I LOVE Greek myths and legends, so it was a little hard for me.
Then, I already knew that I didn't have to expect a masterpiece...
But I was pretty sure there was MUCH worth seeing and I am not talking about landscapes *LOL*
You know, when you don't expect too much, you will not be disappointed!
My sister and I definitely fell in love with Achilles...My God look at him!!!!
I agree with Cecilia, Izumi and all the people who told me I would love him. Pukka, actually I think Brad was perfect for this role...I will write you later!
When I was a student, my favorite hero was Hector, and I didn't like Achilles. But I loved both in this movie!
To see Achilles killed by Paris really upset me.
I have never liked Paris: a real coward! And in this movie I hate him even more (not only because I don't like Orlando Bloom!!!).
Anyway, for those who don't know how things go in the original story:
>After killing Achilles, Paris is killed by an other Greek soldier.
>It is not true that Menelaus is killed by Hector! Actually, Helen comes back to Greece with him after Paris' death!
>Hector's wife and kid, don't escape at all! The kid is killed by Achilles' son and his wife obliged to marry Achilles' son...Well, I'm happy they changed this part, I love Hector and his family :)
>I'm sorry for Achilles+Briseis fans, but Achilles' biggest love was Patroclus...:)
Ok, have to go now. Many things to do...Yesterday and the day before yesterday I make my first bathe...The weather is not too hot and neither is the sea water...But I had to! Last year, in this period I was already sun tanned!!
This evening, out for a dinner with the life-pump class mates...this is the last day I'll go to the gym for a while...I hate going to the gym in summer!
I still have to update fanlistings and write emails....Please be patient :)

I feel better after such a demanding day....the written part of the exam is done. Let's hope I did something good in it, I must pass it!
But, I don't want to write too much about it. I have tons of things to do, tons of emails to answer and tons of fanlistings to update! Oh, yes I should also study for the oral °_° Well, gimme a break, I can't waste all these sunny days hehehe
I have seen several movies that I didn't like recently. After Lost in Translation, I saw Road to Perdition, which was not too bad but not as involving as I expected. Anyway I loved Paul Newman, which used to be one of the sexiest men ever, and now is still a great actor in my humble opinion.
Then, yesterday I went to see Monster which simply disgusted me. I am not saying that the actress was not good...Really, I am impressed by her talent...But the movie was absolutely heavy, maybe I shouldn't have seen it after 6 hours of written examination. And I am not saying I like only stupid comedies! I liked movies like Magdalen Sisters, but there is no comparison. Anyway the Oscar prize given to Charlize Theron was much more deseved than the I-don't-know-what-prize given to Lost in Translation *_*
Well, I need to see Troy as soon as possible...I know that the movie will be absolutely terrible for a Iliad lover like me...But I think I can easily forgive the producer for killing Iliad...Hector and Achilles I'm so in love with you!!! *_* And no, I don't like Orlando Bloom. I can't believe he's getting more popular than Brad-Achilles or Johnny Depp-Jack Sparrow....Crazy world *_*

What else could I say? Oh yes...On Tuesday, before going to the cinema (I saw Lost in translation --> so and so...) I bought a lot of manga (poor me, they are so expensive! Argh!) which I read on Tuesday and Friday (besides studying! Believe me!!!). Well, this is a lucky month: Volume 32 of Garasu no Kamen (with my email published in the last page!), volume 2 of Orpheus no Mado and volume 9 of Ace o Nerae are simply marvellous. I am so in love with Masumi Hayami, but also with Todo and Klaus...Hehehe manga addicts, you know who I am talking about...Irresistable men hahaha
I also read volume 17 of Nana and volume 20 of Tokimeki Tonight. Loved them all, but the 3 manga mentioned before simply intoxicated me!
Ok, better go to bed...Only 2 days before THE DAY!!!
I'm getting more and more and more nervous...And I promised myself I would change after my graduation...hahaha you know what? I believe human beings are not truly able to change...Not for a long time really :-p

I have no time for writing emails, not even for buying my beloved manga! I haven't bought the last volume of Garasu no Kamen yet! I was told that they published my email in it! I can't wait to read it! And I am so happy that some nice people is writing me after reading that message! I hope they will be patient with me, I have a very busy week!
Yesterday evening I had a pizza with my stretching-class mates. We had fun and ate a lot (I took 2 desserts...Argh!). Maybe I'll put a photo online someday.
After the written part of the exam, I will have an other pizza with the life-pump class friends...I think that going to the gym is not so helpful for my health LOL
Well, back to my studies...

Thank you guys, I love you all!
I'll see you again, I promise :)
From tomorrow, back to normal life...It was like a dream...No, much better, really!!!!
VIVA GLI ALPINI!!!!!!!
Thursday, May 13, 2004
I met Tiziana, she gave me a cool Italian flag to hang up somewhere at the window...I'm so happy :)
We will meet in the overcrowded Trieste this weekend...The population will be doubled thanks to the peaceful invasion of Alpini and their families! I can't wait! Mmh the weather is not good though...
I found someone who will give me and my university mates some lessons to prepare for the examination...
I haven't had time for reading, drawing, going to the gym...But I had a new fanlisting approved, and it's online already! It's the Masumi Hayami Fanlisting, which I'm very proud of!! Fan of Garasu no Kamen, please join!!!

This examination thing is taking all my energies away (not that I am studying too much though ^_^)...Tomorrow my class mates and I will meet and decide what to do. And we'll go and annoy our teacher again and again. Until we don't have what we need. If this is the only way, it's fine with me.
Well, something about this weekend:
On Saturday I finished reading Oceano Mare by Alessandro Barricco, which Nicoletta lent me. At the beginning, I dind't like it, but now I have to say that it is a very good novel. I'm very happy I read it.
On Saturday evening I went to Biofa's birthday party. Just a tranquil thing: a bunch of university mates, a table and some benches, some food and a lot of talk. Which is exactly what I like, I relaxed and felt good. Unlike that bitch - I won't say her name - who thinks single girls waste a evening that way. Silly goose, are there only discos and male-hunting? You're disgusting, and I pity you. You think I am the one who needs pity...We'll see. Or maybe (hopefully) we'll never do. Actually I hope I won't have other chances to see you any longer. You've already made me understand that you consider me nothing. But I am not so idiot, I know how hypocritical and opportunist you've been, you are and you'll always be. Let's just hope our lives will never meet any longer. Really. I don't hate anyone, not even you...I just don't want to know anything about you from now on.
Well, at least they finally approved my Don Camillo fanlisting. I am so happy! I applied for it a long time ago! They approved it in the book cathegory, I'm waiting for them to approve it in the movies category also. The fanlisting is already online. It's one of my favorite ones!
Next week I have to contact Tiziana, my friend who's married with an alpino. I truly hope we'll meet at the parade next weekend. I'm still praying for a sunny (cloudy is OK...But, at least, not rainy) weekend! Please God!!! ^_^

PROs
1.Summer is in the air (actually this year it isn't)
2.Courses and classes are finishing (freedom!!!)
3.There are many dinners with the class mates (we use to have pizza...Mmmmh! I can't wait)
CONs
1.Exams are in the air
2.Courses and classes are finishing (yes, you'll miss your mates a little!)
3.There are many dinners with the class mates (will I ever have the courage to wear bikini next summer? *LOL*)
Well, I have to think about nice things...I'm spending the most time hunting for my teachers so that they appoint that comittee for that °*#@# examination....Oh, but please don't hurry up, it's only on May 25th! *_*
We need to know who will prepare our written test as soon as possible, so we can study the previous tests he made (in previous examinations): we have not enough time to study all the subjects we took in 5 years ^_^
Unluckily, in these days I don't have much time for reading, drawing and going to the gym...I am thinking of making a new layout for this blog, but I will seriously think about it after the examination.
The thing that makes me happier at the moment is that on May 14th and 15th there will be in Trieste the 77th Alpini muster. They will arrive from the whole country and there will be a lot of people to welcome them...Included ME! I can't wait! They come every year to a different city, I have seen them in Trieste 20 years ago when I was a child (5 years old). I simply loved the parade, the streets full of people and Italian flags, the happyness in the air. I've expected them to come back for so long! It will be a nice nice weekend...God, please stop rain for those 2 days! Please ^_^
Oh, don't think I'm ridiculous. I am 100% against war , but I love military parades and military men.
Taking everything into consideration, si vis pacem, para bellum.
And I believe military men can be great nowadays in peace missions.
Anyway, I love when people who spent part of their life together meet at these assemblies.
And I love Italian flags, not only during the Soccer World Cup. Probably I'm the only Italian feeling like so.
Ok, time to go for my daily teacher-hunting.
Sunday, May 02, 2004
I spent the whole Saturday with Nicoletta and Beppe...No, we didn't go to Austria...Only Trieste and surroundings...But it was nice anyway!
In the evening I didn't go to that graduation party, because I had no car and no friend could give me a lift...So I met Nicoletta and Beppe for the 3rd time in the same day :) We watched the fireworks on the sea...You can't imagine how much I adore fireworks! I was very very very happy and I didn't regret not going to the party (ok I admit it: I am not too crazy about graduation parties LOL).
Sunday was a relaxing day. In the afternoon I had a walk downtown with Elisa.
Ok...not too much to say. I want to read the books Nicoletta borrowed me, but I also have to start studying very hard!
A terrible month has just started...Let's hope I can survive it...Come on, I survived University, what on earth a qualifying examination can do to me? Hahahaha...We'll see!!!
Saturday, May 01, 2004
The weather is bad but at least it doesn't rain. Nicoletta and Beppe are in Trieste and I think we're going to somewhere in Austria today. I admit with shame that I've never been to Austria, unlike the 99.9% of the people leaving in Trieste! The border is not far from where we live! But, I never travel alone. And I've never had friends who like travelling...Sad, isn't it?
Anyway, I'm waiting for Nicoletta's phone call. Then we'll decide. In any case, even if we stay in Trieste, I'm happy to see them. They live in Monza, next to Milano.
This evening if I can (that is, if we come back to Trieste not too late and if I find someone who drives me there and back) I will go to the other graduation party...I already missed the other one and I feel such a hermit °_° Believe me, Engineering can kill you!
On Monday my examination odissey will start. I have to go to the University every day and annoy my teachers so that they appoint a committee and prepar the written test soon: the written exam will be on May 25th! I hope they will take a short course to help us to understand what kind of exam this qualifying exam is. We have never made a project in 5 years of studies, while this is exactly what this kind of examination requires. It's so disgusting for me to take exams after graduation!!! Exams never end huh?
Well, the whole situation is making me getting more stressed and absent-minded than usual...Wow! I should have a secretary who helps me not to forget things *_*
I don't know if I will have the strength to start a diet together with starting studying for the exam...Usually exams make me gain weitght...Oh no...I know, this is my alibi ^_^
Oh! On Friday I finished reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. They say it's the worst book she wrote, but I don't know why. I loved it, and much more than Mansfield Park. If you are a fan of Jane Austen, you have to read it. I can't believe Miss Austen wrote Northanger Abbey when she was my age or even younger...What a genius!
Have to go....Waiting for the phone call!
NICE WEEKEND!!!
