Bad bad news for me.
I have to look for an au pair family, and since I want to find one as soon as possible, I will have to accept the less worse among the families who contact me now.
I have just been told this afternoon that my current au pair family has some financial problem and they can't afford an au pair any longer. Whether this is true or not, I don't know and I don't want to know. Honestly I knew this would happen, and I am happy it happened before I subscribed to some college or gym nearby. But it will probably be too late to find courses available after finding a new family. I am a little sad, but neither surprised nor disappointed. I am grateful to my au pair family who offered me 2 pleasant weeks in Surrey and 1 in Cornwall, and I really love the little princess. But I admit that I am not very happy at my new job search, posting ads, having interviews and so on. I don't think I will be so lucky with my new family, but well I promised myself always to look forward. So, tomorrow I will have my first interviews, it's a pity going to London is so expensive...

Once again, I apologize with my penpals, for it's more than a month (or even 2?) I haven't written an email... Maria Cristina Q holds the record, she is waiting for news from me since May :( I have just sent her a short message, I hope she will forgive me. Please, be kind. I don't want to lose contact with you. But I am not in the mood of writing emails, and I don't have the strenght either, since I am spending my time with my au pair family search!

Yes, I am still alive. Luckily my au pair family is not cannibal :)
The beginning of my experience has not been too nice, because my flight was cancelled and I had to leave 24 hours later. Anyway, flying is not that bad... I thought I would suffer more! The disappointing fact was that I was told that hand baggage was allowed for departures from Italy, but actually when I was there I had to unpack everything because almost only clothes were allowed, everything else had to be put in the hold.
I was so scared that my mobile phone and laptop could get lost (or stolen, you know)!
Anyway, for the moment everything is OK. More or less. I am just too stupid to understand if I am behaving well, but at least I am sure that if something goes too wrong, they will not just kick my fat bottom out of their house until I find an other family :)

Caterham is nice, though too lonely. Many lovely houses and private gardens, some pubs (but I am not interested in them actually, since SMOKING is NOT FORBIDDEN in public places! I cannot believe it! Even in Italy they forbad it!).
But for the moment I am very happy, because I like tranquil places with a lot of green. And I hope I'll meet some other au pairs sooner or later. I have just put a couple of ads and contacted a woman who put an ad: she is looking for friends in Surrey, but Surrey is so big! I couldn't find people looking for friends in Caterham!
In the last days, I met Cris and I re-met Angela. My family is worried that I invite all my pen pals at home, but actually it was just a coincidence... It's ages I haven't invited any friends at home!
Anyway, I am not going to invite anyone any longer, because I don't want them to have a wrong idea of me.

Tomorrow, I'll leave with my family for our holiday in Cornwall. Actually they will go by car, I'll go by train+coach, because there are 6 of us. I hope it will a pleasant and relaxing holiday. I will not have my computer with me, though hopefully I will have a chance to check my mail box to delete spam mail.
I hope my pen pals who are reading this blog will not be disappointed for not hearing from me from such an incredibly long time... Actually I haven't be able to organize my life yet... Please be patient! I have no intention of losing contact with you!
