Alfred von Alensmeier
When the story starts,
Julius' father is already seriously ill. He will die without
resolving his family's troubles. In his youth he has been a spy
for the Russian government, ordering the massacre of the von
Beringer family, and he keeps part of the tsar's treasure in a
vault in the Reich Bank of Frankfurt.
