Yusupov
Leonid Yusupov
was modeled on Felix Yusupov, who really existed.
Prince Felix Yusupov (1886-1967) was one of the responsibles for
Rasputin's death. He was married to
Irina Romanov, then he was connected to the royal family. After
Rasputin's assassination, he was sent
into exile by the Tsar. Thanks to this punishment, in spite of
Rasputin's curse on his eventual murder, he was not killed
together with the Romanovs during the revolution, and he lived
until the age of 81.
